Job summary

South Port Square in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a hospitality-focused Concierge to warmly welcome residents, guests, and vendors. You’ll answer calls, provide information, and handle basic clerical tasks as part of a friendly team.

The role offers a part-time schedule (Wed and Thu 8A–4P) with a starting wage of $15.00 per hour and standard benefits. Previous customer service or hospitality experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products.
• Must demonstrate excellent telephone communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing telephone coverage.
• Resolve resident/guest/vendor issues ensuring service is met.
• Accept and log delivery packages; notify residents of delivery.
• Prepare maintenance work orders as requested by residents and staff.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

South Port Squareis recruiting for a hospitality focused Concierge. This role is responsible for meeting and greeting residents, guests, prospective employees, suppliers, vendors, and outside service providers in a warm and professional manner daily. They are the first face someone sees when visiting our community! The Concierge is also responsible for answering and transferring all incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner, giving information, direction and other appropriate assistance to residents, staff, guests, and vendors. Performs a variety of clerical duties as assigned.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Concierge:

• Provide ongoing telephone coverage.
• Solve issues presented by residents, guests, vendors, and suppliers in a manner so that both the organizational objectives are met, as well as the individuals feel they were served appropriately. Keep difficult situations from escalating.
• Accept delivery packages, document receipt of packages in logbook, and notify the resident (recipient) of delivery.
• Prepare maintenance work orders as requested by residents and staff.
• Assist the Business Office Manager with projects/assignments.
