Qualifications

• Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily.
• Uses proper chemicals in correct portions; may mop floors as directed.
• Empties trash and replaces liners; disposes of waste properly.
• Vacuum carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Washes and dries windows with appropriate chemicals.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance as appropriate.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and follows safety rules.
