Booker T Washington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in SHREVEPORT, LA is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors during day shifts. The role covers cleaning resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and equipment, following infection control procedures.

High school diploma preferred; prior healthcare housekeeping experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare facility housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, dining areas, and common areas daily.
• Dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, and polish floors and furniture.
• Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, showers, tubs, and other restroom fixtures.
• Empty trash containers and dispose of waste properly.
• Replenish paper products, soap, and other housekeeping supplies.
• Clean windows, mirrors, walls, doors, and other surfaces as assigned.
• Follow infection control procedures and safety regulations.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
• Assist with room preparation for new admissions and resident transfers.
• Respond promptly to spills and emergency cleaning situations.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Participate in facility training programs and staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Administrator.
