About The Role
HMS is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to join our team as a Skilled Nursing Facility Validation Program Reviewer. In this role, you will conduct audits of Minimum Data Set (MDS) records by reviewing and validating clinical data against skilled nursing facility medical chart documentation. This is a casual/part-time position.
About The Role
HMS is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to join our team as a Skilled Nursing Facility Validation Program Reviewer. In this role, you will conduct audits of Minimum Data Set (MDS) records by reviewing and validating clinical data against skilled nursing facility medical chart documentation. This is a casual/part-time position.
Key Responsibilities
Review and compare clinical data in medical charts with corresponding MDS record data elements.
Determine whether medical documentation supports the MDS data; identify and document discrepancies.
Abstract relevant clinical information from medical records.
Record audit findings using an electronic auditing tool.
Meet established quality and productivity benchmarks.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience reviewing or auditing medical data from medical facilities or other related experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to resolving questions or uncertainties.
Experience with MS SharePoint is a plus.
Knowledge of MDS and prior experience with MDS reviews is preferred.
