Job summary

New Horizon Foods, LLC is seeking a Skilled Nursing Cook for the PM shift at Lakehouse Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Minneapolis. The position handles IDSSI diets/textures and requires cooking and kitchen tasks with a positive attitude and strong customer service.

The facility offers FT status, PM hours (10:30am - 7:30pm), a union account, no late nights, benefits including Medical, Dental and Vision, 401k after 1st year, paid holidays, attendance bonus and PTO accrues from day one.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IDSSI diets/textures and ability to prepare meals accordingly.

We are seeking a Skilled Nursing Cook that knows IDSSI diet/textures to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work on their feet for extended periods of time. Experience in cooking and kitchen tasks is required for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare 300 meals per meal - IDSSI diets/Textures
• Food preparation and proper storage
• Assist maintaining all health code regulations in kitchen
• Ensure that all food is presented in an attractive and appetizing manner
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and guests
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen and dining areas
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures

Requirements:

• Follow menus, production records and recipes per levels 4, 5, 6 and 7
• Positive attitude and excellent communicator
• Experienced time management skills
• Be a team leader and a have a sense of urgency
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to follow recipes
• Understanding of basic cooking techniques
• Reliable means of transportation to and from work
• No experience required
