Job summary

Spokane Valley Health and Rehab of Cascadia in Spokane Valley, WA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to deliver routine daily nursing care to long-term care residents in accordance with care plans and under supervision. The role collaborates with therapy to help residents achieve mobility goals.

The CNA will observe residents’ conditions, assist with personal care, support residents with behavioral health needs, and accurately record vital signs and daily activities as directed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of employment.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• 6+ months experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report any changes in patients’ conditions to the nursing staff.
• Assist resident with dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, incontinence care etc.
• Provide support to residents with behavioral health needs.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, fluid intake and output as directed.
• Assist residents with range of motion exercises, eating, and mobility/transfers.
