Outfield Health Care Partners in Independence, MO is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support clinical operations at our Skilled Nursing facility.

Under the Director of Nursing, you will supervise staff, maintain clinical excellence, and protect resident rights while ensuring regulatory compliance and quality care. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and a commitment to resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN or LPN nursing program.
• Current nursing license in Missouri (RN preferred).
• 2+ years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and professionalism.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
• Administrative and organizational skills with flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local skilled nursing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing with daily clinical and administrative operations
• Provide leadership, supervision, and support to nursing staff
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, orientation, and ongoing training
• Monitor resident records and clinical documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Support investigations of incidents, unusual occurrences, or alleged abuse and report promptly to the DON
• Ensure resident rights, safety, and dignity are protected at all times
• Participate in quality assurance activities and regulatory compliance efforts
• Promote excellent customer service and positive resident/family experiences
• Maintain working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing skilled nursing facilities
