Job summary

Monroechamber is seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician in Mequon, Wisconsin. This night shift role involves disassembling molds, inspecting components, performing routine maintenance, and updating ERP records to ensure production readiness.

You will operate on a 12-hour night shift (6:30pm–6:30am), earn $23.57–$31.77 per hour plus a $3 night shift premium, and contribute to a safe, compliant manufacturing environment while maintaining high-quality mold maintenance standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of related manufacturing experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain lift licenses for required mold maintenance equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with coworkers, internal customers and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble mold and clean components.
• Inspect all parts of molds for signs of wear or damage and notify the Lead Mold Maintenance Technician or Mold Maintenance Supervisor so the mold can be repaired.
• Change inserts as required.
• Tag molds as "Production Ready" and transport molds to workstations using a motorized pallet jack.
• Perform daily tool maintenance (in and out of presses).
• Update mold location records in the ERP system.
• Install replacement parts and perform minor mold repairs as directed by the Mold Maintenance Supervisor.
• Assemble molds, verify work completed, and update the tool logbook.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following safety procedures and complying with OSHA regulations.
• Maintain and practice good housekeeping procedures within the department Food Safety.
• Understand and follow all Quality Food Safety Management System (QFSMS) policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble mold and clean components
• Inspect all parts of molds for signs of wear or damage and notify the Lead Mold Maintenance Technician or Mold Maintenance Supervisor so the mold can be repaired
• Change inserts as required
• Tag molds as "Production Ready" and transport molds to workstations using a motorized pallet jack
• Perform daily tool maintenance (in and out of presses)
• Update mold location records in the ERP system
• Clean inserts as required and return inserts to assigned storage locations
• Collect molds after production runs, return molds to storage and update mold location records
• Install replacement parts and perform minor mold repairs as directed by the Mold Maintenance Supervisor
• Assemble molds, verify work has been completed, return molds to the proper location, and update the tool logbook
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following safety procedures and complying with OSHA regulations
• Maintain and practice good housekeeping procedures within the department Food Safety
• Understand and follow all Quality Food Safety Management System (QFSMS) policies and procedures
• Report problems with the QFSMS to a supervisor or manager

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to obtain and maintain lift licenses for required mold maintenance equipment
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with coworkers, internal customers and external vendors
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers
• Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages
• Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram or schedule form
• Ability to identify problems, collect data when directed, establish facts, and recommend solutions is essential to this position
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while producing high-quality work
• Ability to safely identify and operate various powered hand tools and maintain lift licenses
• Basic computer skills are necessary to enter data into programs used to track mold maintenance activities
• Ability to prioritize activities and perform job duties with minimal supervision is essential
• Regularly stand and walk; use hands to handle objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear
• Frequently walk, stand, lift, and carry up to 35 pounds up to 10 feet; occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds several feet (e.g., molds without eye bolts)
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to climb in and out of presses, maintain balance and work inside molds
• Regularly work near moving mechanical parts
• Occasionally exposed to vibration, fumes, or airborne particles
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate to occasionally loud, while the production floor is consistently loud
