Job summary

UFP Industries in Newnan, GA is seeking an Assembler III responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling finished products according to customer specifications. Experience with MIG welding and welding equipment is required, and attention to securing correct parts and supplies is essential.

You will set up the work area, read technical drawings, maintain safety and quality standards, perform inspections, keep records, and participate in safety and continuous improvement programs.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in MIG welding and operating welding equipment.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate welder and welding machinery and tools
• Completes work area set up
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed manner and in accordance with quality standards
• Operates equipment and tools as required to complete assembly process
• Prevents and controls waste of raw material
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with standards
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
• Completes pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
• Provides basic TPM to equipment and completes TPM paperwork when required
• Maintains production records as required
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned
