Job summary

Community Memorial Hospital is seeking a versatile facilities technician to perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boiler, and general maintenance in a hospital environment.

You will operate and maintain building systems, respond to outages, and support patient care areas while ensuring safety and compliance.

This role requires hands-on skills with boilers, generators, pumps, and emergency systems, plus attention to cleanliness and preventative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pneumatic controls, mixed air controllers, thermostats, heat and cooling controls valves and dampers
• Utilize computerized building management systems, Trane and Delta systems
• Trane, McQuay, Aaon & KKT rooftop units and chillers
• Filter changes
• Steam and condensate piping, traps and strainers
• Pumps including sewer ejector, sump, ground water, fuel oil, vacuum, recirculate and condensate
• Hot water heaters
• Toilets, sinks, tub/shower and drains
• Water softener system
• Sprinkler system
• Copper Ion system
• Ice and water machines
• MTU and Detroit Generator
• Reset circuit breakers, change fuses
• Fluorescent lighting and ballasts
• Various cords and fixtures
• Exit lighting
• Emergency lighting
• Steam and hot water boilers
• Boiler water testing and treatment
• Snowplowing, snow blowing, shoveling and salting
