Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville, NY is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to join our hardworking team. You will maintain the physical plant, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, and general carpentry tasks across our hospital, nursing home, and primary care campus.

The role is full time with night shifts. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with external vendors to ensure patient care remains uninterrupted.

Qualifikationen

• 1 year of experience in facility maintenance or related setting performing skilled trades.
• On-call rotation including weekends and holidays.
• High motivation and customer service orientation.
• On-site work with physical plant responsibilities.

• Perform general maintenance of the Physical Plant for our medical campus (Hospital, Nursing Home, Primary Care).
• Maintain steam, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure proper operation.
• Operate and maintain boilers and heating systems.
• Electrical work and safety checks on hospital equipment.
• Plumbing troubleshooting and drain maintenance.
• Maintain generators and emergency equipment.
• General upkeep including painting, carpentry, small engine repair, and grounds tasks.
• Assist in emergencies to ensure patient care and access.

Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville, NY is seeking a skilled Maintenance professional to join our hardworking team. As a key member of our Maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance of our internal physical plant, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, as well as boiler maintenance, light construction and equipment repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of the Physical Plant for our medical campus (Hospital, Nursing Home, Primary Care)
• Utilize knowledge of steam, electrical, and plumbing systems on a daily basis to maintain proper functions of our medical campus
• Operate and maintain boilers and heating systems
• Perform electrical work/circuit troubleshooting and electrical safety checks of hospital equipment
• Perform plumbing troubleshooting, opening pipes and drains, snaking drains as needed
• Maintain and test generators and emergency equipment
• Perform general facility upkeep including painting, light construction, carpentry, small engine repair, shoveling, mowing, and cleaning
• Assist in emergency situations, ensuring uninterrupted patient care and access to all associates, patients, and visitors
• Assist outside vendors/contractors as needed in handling materials for repair or installations

Requirements

• One (1) year of experience in facility maintenance or related setting performing a skilled trade(s) including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and hot water systems
• Successful candidate will have a proven record working within a structured work schedule with strong attendance
• Requires a high degree of motivation; self-direction with strong customer services skills
• High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred
• On-call rotation, Weekend and Holiday rotations

Physical Demands

• Will perform work inside and outdoors in any weather, squatting, bending, pushing, and pulling
• Regularly lifts heavy weights up to 75 pounds

Prolonged standing, walking, and climbs ladders and scaffolding
