Job summary

Presbyterian Senior Living is seeking a Skilled Maintenance Worker to provide routine, preventive and corrective maintenance for community grounds and property, ensuring a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors. The role requires residing within 30 minutes of the community due to on-call rotations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license; related trade training and experience are preferred.

  • Formal or on-the-job training in plumbing, electrical, painting, maintenance, carpentry and general repair preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License required

Responsibilities

  • Repairs and maintains physical structure and systems of community.
  • Maintains community grounds; may include lawn mowing, trimming, snow removal.
  • Completes all assigned maintenance work orders.
  • Repairs and maintains electrical and utility systems.
  • Performs preventative maintenance.
  • Maintains safety systems; such as: fire alarms, nurse call systems, security).
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Effectively read and interpret documents and instructions.
  • Capacity to effectively troubleshoot and problem solve.

Compensation from $21 to $23/hour (with experience)

Status/Shift: Full Time Daylight

Every other Weekend, Every other Holiday; On Call Rotation

The candidate must live within 30 minutes of the community due to the on‑call rotation requirement.
