Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo is seeking a Maintenance Worker - Skilled to join the Plant Engineering team. Under general supervision, you will inspect, service and repair electrical, mechanical and plumbing equipment, perform preventive maintenance and respond to on-call needs.

This role supports Service Excellence and safety standards across our hospital facilities. Ideal candidates bring high school diploma or GED, a Texas driver's license, and multiple years of hands-on

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License required.
• Minimum four years' related maintenance experience including plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, steam plant, metal work and welding.

Responsibilities

• Responds to pager/radio/phone requests and performs emergency repairs with proper troubleshooting.
• Conducts periodic inspections/tests and performs preventive maintenance as specified.
• Maintains logs of inspections, tests, servicing and repairs; completes work orders as required.
• Supports service-excellence initiatives and improves performance of maintenance services.
