Job summary
Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Maintenance Tech to perform skilled electrical, mechanical, and plumbing servicing under the Plant Engineering Department. You will support service excellence and ensure reliable hospital operations.
Under general supervision, the Technician handles preventive maintenance, responds to repair requests, and documents work orders to uphold safety and efficiency across patient-care areas.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Texas Driver's License required.
- Minimum two years related maintenance experience with at least one of: plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, steam plant, metal work, welding.
Responsibilities
- Responds to requests by pager, radio, telephone or other methods of communication.
- Performs emergency repairs using proper trouble-shooting techniques.
- Conducts periodic inspections/tests based on pre-determined priorities and conditions.
- Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment as specified.
- Maintains logs of inspections, tests, servicing, and repairs as required.
- Completes work orders as required.
- Participates in and supports a process to improve performance of services.
