Job summary

International Paper is seeking a General Helper on the Dover site to support machine operations in a full-time, hourly role with 2nd or 3rd shift options. Pay starts at $19.94/hr during probation and can rise to $26.98/hr when qualified.

The job requires reading work orders, basic math, and precision measurement, with a focus on safety and quality. As you progress, you may advance to Machine Operator and join a team responsible for meeting customer specifications while maintaining production

Qualifications

• 1 year of hands-on Industrial Plant manufacturing experience.
• Corrugated industry experience preferred.
• Sit down Forklift/pull pack experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read a tape measure and ruler accurately.
• Ability to use basic shop math.
• Ability to learn, follow instructions, ask questions, and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely run machines and follow all safety rules and practices at all times.
• Count and stack finished product.
• Learn customer requirements and specifications by reading factory work orders, print cards, and design specifications.
• Utilize basic shop math.
• Accurately read tape measures, gauges and other test equipment.
• Coordinate activities with other machine crew members to set up and run orders.
• Maintain quality and production standards as required by the company.
• Continuously monitor the quality and quantity of production.
• Maintain housekeeping continually during the shift.
• Perform quality inspections and tests, and record findings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
