Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Skilled Laborer/Groundman to support all phases of telecom construction. You will work outdoors at utility sites, handle manual tasks, and assist with aerial and underground cable systems.

A hands-on attitude, safety-first mindset, and willingness to learn about Coax/Fiber splicing and directional drilling are highly valued, with competitive pay and benefits offered. You will be home daily and part of a community-minded team.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

As a Skilled Laborer/Groundman, you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. You believe in doing the job right, being the best, and you’re up for the challenge.

• Responsible for various manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites with the use of hand tools like shovels, rakes, and picks
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites
• Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site each day
• Build and maintain aerial and underground cable systems
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
• Learn and train to use various kinds of tools and equipment

Qualifications
