Job summary

Dietzler Companies is a heavy civil general contractor and sand aggregates producer operating throughout Colorado and Wyoming. The laborer will perform a wide range of physical labor tasks in support of workers on the construction or sand depot sites.

The role requires travel and hands-on work with concrete, forms, and reinforcing materials. You must be at least 18, able to communicate effectively, and proficient with common hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• Must have general construction experience, heavy civil experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
• Knowledge and use of tape measure, hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate skid steer and other construction equipment.
• Assist with concrete placement, finishing, and cleanup.
• Strip formwork, prepare forms, and clean/stack forms.
• Set up and use fall protection system.
• Vibrate concrete and finish top of walls, pier caps, and pads.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Dietzler Companies is a heavy civil general contractor and sand aggregates producer operating throughout Colorado and Wyoming with an emphasis on bridge, dam, and water utility projects. The laborer will perform a wide range of physical labor tasks in support of workers on the construction or sand depot sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of construction equipment and techniques.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Assist with concrete placement and cleanout.
• Assists with patching and finishing/rubbing concrete.
• Skilled at stripping formwork, preparing forms, cleaning & stacking of forms.
• Proficient at placement and tying of rebar/wire mesh as needed.
• Safely operates hand backfill tools/equipment.

• Safely operates skid steer (including bucket, sweeper and fork attachments) and all terrain forklifts.
• Sets up and utilizes a fall protection system.
• Properly vibrate concrete.
• Finishing concrete (top of walls, pier caps, housekeeping pads, etc.).
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Must have general construction experience, heavy civil experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
