Job description

Come work for America's Master Craftsmen in Restoration and Preservation! Western Specialty Contractors is currently looking for self-motivated, top-notch individuals to serve as Skilled Laborers at our Charlotte, NC branch. If you have a strong work ethic and a personality geared toward customer satisfaction, we would love to meet you!

As a member of the branch production team, you will be responsible for performing work within a specific area according to accepted craft standards. Experienced skilled laborers are encouraged to apply! The wage range is $22-$30 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Masons and Tuckpointers: Brick and lintel replacement, mortar removal and replacement, stone repair.
• Waterproofers: Below-grade and building envelope waterproofing, pedestrian and vehicular coatings.
• Caulkers: Sealant removal and replacement around windows, glass glazing, perimeter, control joints, and expansion joints.
• Concrete Journeymen: Concrete repair, patches, epoxy and urethane injection, carbon fiber reinforcement, grout patching, post-tension repairs, sealing.
• Laborers: Both experienced and non-experienced roles.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience in a trade or craft preferred; ability to demonstrate reading, writing, and math skills.
• Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods, lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders and scaffolds, and see clearly.
• Ability to work at heights, in extreme temperatures, and wear safety equipment.
• Ability to read drawings and identify hazards.
• Own hand tools of the trade required.
• Availability to work weekends, nights, out of town, and at heights; reliable transportation necessary.
