Job summary

Prince is seeking a construction laborer to perform grading, staking, and form work on outdoor job sites in Florida. The role involves measuring, driving stakes, aligning forms, and signaling heavy equipment operators to meet exact grade specifications.

The candidate will level earth or asphalt, mix concrete, caulk joints, and assist with dismantling forms and mounting pipes as needed. Outdoor hours and exposure to heat are standard.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Able to sit, stand, and move for extended periods outdoors.
• Willingness to work in heat and around traffic.
• Experience with grade stakes and form work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Measuring distance from grade stakes, driving stakes, and stretching tight line.
• Bolts, nails, aligns, and blocks up under forms.
• Signals operators of construction equipment to aid alignment and movement to meet grade specs.
• Levels earth or asphalt to grade specs using picks, shovels and rakes.
• Mixes concrete and applies caulking compounds.
• Saws lumber, dismantles forms, removes projections and mounts pipe hangers.

Job description

• Measuring distance from grade stakes, drives stakes, and stretches tight line
• Bolts, nails, aligns, and block up under forms
• Signals operators of construction or asphalt equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications
• Levels earth or asphalt to grade specifications, using picks, shovels and rakes
• Mixes concrete and applies caulking compounds
• Sawing lumber, dismantling forms, removing projections from concrete, and mounting pipe hangers

Job Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend, crouch or walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to climb on and off of equipment
• Employee works on average ten (10) hours per day, five days (and occasionally six days) per week. All work is performed outdoors in Florida heat and rain; and around heavy highway traffic areas.
