Job summary

HRCP is hiring for the Hampton Roads Connector Partners JV in Norfolk, VA. The role is a full-time construction position on the HRBT Expansion Project with an hourly wage of 20.00–22.00 USD.

The project team will build a large bridge-tunnel design across 9 miles of I-64, continuing through 2027. Responsibilities include maintaining safety policies, operating hand tools, following directions from the Foreman/Superintendent, completing tasks on time, and ensuring crew safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 5 years plus experience in heavy construction preferred.
• Must have good judgement and decision making skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be a team player and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest level of Safety and adherence to all Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Must know how to operate handtools.
• Take and follow direction from Foreman/Superintendent.
• Responsible for completing all assigned tasks safely, in the time frame given.
• Responsible for the Safety of fellow crew members.
• Other duties as assigned.

USD 20.00 - 22.00 Hourly | HRBT Expansion Project in Norfolk, VA, United States Full Time

HRBT Expansion Project is looking for new team members to joing Hampton Roads Connector Partners (HRCP)!

The Hampton Roads Connector Partners JV (HRCP) consisting of Dragados, VINCI, and Flatiron has been selected to construct the $4.8bn Design Build project -the largest civil construction contract ever awarded by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

The project scope across a 9 mile section of the I-64 will include: a new 3.5-mile bridge-tunnel crossing that will accommodate a total of 8 lanes of capacity across the water, replacement of the existing marine approach bridges and the addition of a third lane on I-64 in each direction. The twin 45' diameter 1.5-mile tunnels will be bored by TBM, creating the second largest TBM tunnel opening for a TBM in North America. The project is expected to continue to the end of 2027.

Key Responsibilities

Work Requirements

• Must be 18 years in age or older
• 5 years plus experience in heavy construction preferred

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in a "fluid environment"
• Must be able to work well with others
• Truck Driving skills a plus
• Experienced construction employees are strongly preferred
• Must be able tocommunicate withothers to convey information effectively.
• Must be accustomed to working outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions
• Must be able toperform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking stooping, and handling of materials
