Job summary

Haley & Aldrich is seeking a Skilled Laborer for a temporary on-site position in Hardin County, OH (approximately 6 months). The successful candidate will perform manual labor, operate safety-concerned equipment, and work across shifts to support heavy civil construction projects.

Requirements include safety knowledge for heavy equipment, ability to read manuals/specifications, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate knowledge of safety practices when operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to read operations manuals and manufacturers’ specifications for equipment.
• Ability to prepare time sheets and records of work performed, time spent, and materials used.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide manual labor including lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Safely operate hand and motorized tools.
• Safely operate heavy civil construction equipment (skid steers, drum compactors, wheel loaders, off-road dump trucks, etc).
• Follow safe working practices and complete tasks to client, company and regulatory standards; may work different shifts.

We are currently seeking a Skilled Laborer. This is a temporary position (approximately 6 months) located on site in Hardin County, OH.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

• Provide manual labor. May include lifting (up to 100 pounds) or other construction related tasks.
• Provide safe and productive operation of hand and motorized tools.
• Provide safe and productive operation of heavy civil construction equipment including skid steers, drum compactors, wheel loaders, off road dump trucks, and other applicable equipment.
• Utilize safe working practices and perform assigned work in a safe manner meeting client, company, and regulatory standards. Be required to work different shifts.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Minimum Skills and Requirements:

• Have knowledge of safety practices and procedures in operating heavy equipment.
• Have the ability to utilize operations manuals and manufacturer's specifications in operating specialized equipment.
• Have the ability to prepare reports and records of work accomplished, time spent, and parts, supplies, and materials used.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have a positive attitude and be a great teammate.
• DOT physical required.

The salary range for this position in Hardin County, OH is $25 - $27 per hour. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market.
