Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses specimens for labeling, type and shipping conditions.
• Performs laboratory testing per protocols, including possible high complexity testing.
• Calibrates and maintains laboratory equipment per protocol.
• Maintains laboratory supply inventory.
• Performs quality control/assurance procedures and participates in proficiency testing.
• Communicates with internal and external customers accurately and professionally.
• Performs tests in Chemistry and Microbiology sections using manual and automated equipment.
• Receives and processes incoming specimens (blood, urine, stool, body fluids).
• Notifies staff of calibration or equipment issues requiring escalation.
