Job summary

Heritage Construction + Materials is seeking an Equipment Operator for our Indiana plant to operate, service and maintain heavy equipment including front-end loaders, trucks, skid steers, man-lift, fuel and water trucks. The role requires reliability, strong safety practices, and accurate reporting.

You will perform pre-shift checks, maintain logs and participate in training to ensure safe, efficient production in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Read, write and communicate in English; basic math.
• Team player with ability to follow directions.
• Experience with welding, torching and maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, service, and maintain heavy equipment including front-end loaders, dump trucks, skid steer, man-lift, fuel truck and water truck.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift checks and maintenance on equipment.
• Report orally and in writing; maintain activity, inventory and maintenance logs.
• Follow safety rules and PPE requirements; participate in training and certifications.
• Abide by yard rules, safety regulations, and operating procedures.
• Complete required documentation and support product transfers and QA processes.
