Job summary

Casella Construction, Inc. is seeking a safety-oriented and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Construction team.

The Skilled Operator performs complex tasks operating excavators, bulldozers, and loaders on civil projects with a focus on safety and quality. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, a valid driver's license, strong communication, and the ability to work weekends or travel as needed, including winter plowing across NH/VT.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 3+ years of experience operating bulldozers, loaders and excavators.
• Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
• Understanding of safety rules and regulations.
• Able to read project plans and understand jobsite layouts.
• Willing to work weekends/nights and travel as needed.
• Ability to participate in First Aid/CPR, OSHA 10, flagging, spotter trainings.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe work environment.
• Directs and leads work of other laborers and operators as necessary.
• Operates loaders, bulldozers and excavators to complete tasks.
• Performs daily pre- and post-inspections of equipment.
• Maintains time and materials records and completes daily paperwork.
• Participates in safety training and regulatory trainings as required.
• Winter maintenance: plowing and snow removal across NH/VT as needed.
