You will operate excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, and other equipment, perform site prep, inspections, and assist crew as needed while meeting production goals and safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy civil construction equipment.
• Experience in underground utility, municipal, roadway, or site development construction.
• Ability to understand grades, elevations, and construction staking.
• Ability to safely work around underground utilities and active construction operations.
• Valid Texas Driver License with an acceptable driving record.
• CDL is but not required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle record review.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy civil construction equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, skid steers, graders, and rollers.
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, material handling and site preparation per plans.
• Read grades, elevations, stakes, and construction drawings.
• Work alongside field crews by assisting with labor tasks when equipment operation is not required.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and pre- and post-operation safety checks.
• Report equipment maintenance needs promptly and maintain equipment in clean operating condition.
• Follow all Company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and project-specific safety requirements.
• Maintain production goals while ensuring quality workmanship.
• Assist with traffic control, site cleanup, and other project responsibilities as needed.
• Operate Company vehicles and trailers when properly licensed and authorized.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of project operations.
