Job summary

Software Placement Group is recruiting for a harvest floor position at an independent meat processing facility in Mansfield, Ohio. This full-time, on-site role involves performing all phases of the harvest process, ensuring humane handling and strict food safety compliance.

Candidates should be physically capable of standing, lifting, and working in varied conditions; English literacy is required. Training provided; prior experience preferred but not required for motivated applicants.

Qualifications

• Physically capable of sustained standing, heavy lifting, and working in varied temperatures throughout a full shift.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform all phases of the harvest process including stunning, bleeding, skinning, eviscerating, splitting, and trimming
• Handle livestock humanely and in accordance with animal welfare requirements
• Trim, wash, and weigh carcasses to meet quality and compliance standards
• Maintain knife sharpness and keep harvest floor equipment in proper working condition
• Keep workstations, walls, equipment, and the harvest floor clean and sanitized
• Follow HACCP protocols and food safety requirements
• Support barn duties including weighing, feeding, and watering livestock as skills develop
• Assist with general sanitation and end-of-shift cleanup procedures
