Job summary

Red Gold, Inc. is seeking a forklift operator to support loading, unloading, and material transfers within the warehouse, production, and packaging areas. You will move materials, pick and stage orders, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities include completing paperwork, scanning barcode tags, and maintaining the daily forklift checklist. Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs and pass forklift tests; safety and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years forklift experience
• Must be able to use basic math and writing skills to fill out required paperwork
• Working knowledge of warehouse operations or be trainable
• Capable of operating a lift truck safely per plant/company rules
• Able to pass forklift training through written and driving tests and on-the-job work
• Demonstrated observation skills

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift according to safety standards
• Move materials to/from warehouse, production line, packaging line
• Unload/load shuttles
• Pick and stage orders
• Remove used pallets, tier sheets, and trash
• Complete required paperwork (tally sheets, shuttle transfer)
• Scan materials via barcode tags in/out of inventory
• Record receipt/loading of materials on driver paperwork (BOL)
• Complete Forklift Operator's Daily Checklist
• Assist production/packaging line operators as needed
• Perform routine maintenance such as filling propane and checking valves
• Maintain clean work area by sweeping and wiping equipment
