Job summary

PM Hotel Group is seeking a cook to ensure flawless preparation and presentation of the menu created by the Executive Chef, delivering an unparalleled dining experience.

You will prepare items per recipes, manage prep to avoid overproduction, store leftovers correctly, and keep all kitchen equipment clean. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of prep line/cook experience.
• Capable of thinking on their feet and keeping up in high-pressure environments.
• Willingness to adhere to safety and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food consistent with recipe cards.
• Start items prepared ahead to match estimated needs without over-preparing.
• Return unused items to designated storage for the next shift.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment and supplies properly.

Job description

Our Cook is responsible for the flawless preparation and presentation of the menu created by the Executive Chef and for making sure our guests receive an unparalleled dining experience. No pressure.

Here are just some of the tasks you’ll be responsible for on a daily basis:

· Prepare food consistent with recipe cards.

• Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over-prepare estimated needs.

· Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas.

· Operate and properly clean cooking and kitchen equipment and supplies.

Where You’ve Been:

You have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year’s experience as a prep line/cook. Most importantly, you’re someone who is capable of thinking on their feet and able to keep up in high-pressure situations. If that sounds like you, go ahead and apply.

This probably goes without saying but you’ll be on your feet a lot. There will be occasions when you may be carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending/twisting, climbing stairs and working on slippery floors.
