Job summary

BMS CAT in Michigan is seeking a skilled tradesperson to supervise a team across carpentry, plumbing, roofing, and drywall installation on restoration projects damaged by water, fire, or storms.

You will lead daily field activities, read blueprints, coordinate materials, ensure safety per OSHA, and deliver quality workmanship while maintaining client communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of plumbing experience (licensed preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with framing, sheetrock, and finish carpentry.
• Demonstrated leadership to supervise field teams.
• Strong safety focus and OSHA compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise carpentry, plumbing, roofing, and drywall installation on site.
• Manage daily activities of the project team.
• Diagnose and perform plumbing repairs and installations.
• Ensure work areas are stocked with materials.
• Delegate duties and participate in emergency response when required.
• Maintain safety and adherence to OSHA rules.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to supervise a team in the following: Carpentry, Plumbing, Roofing, and Drywall Installation

Key Responsibilities

• Work on sites affected by water, fire, and smoke damage
• Manage daily activities of the team assigned to the project
• Diagnose and perform plumbing repairs and installations
• Ensure the work area remains stocked with materials
• Delegate other duties as needed
• Participate in emergency response efforts when required

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

• Team Leadership
• Knowledge of construction materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Sheetrock installation and repair
• Texturing, painting, and trim work
• Cabinet installation and repair
• Experience with framing, structural carpentry, and finish carpentry (preferred)
• Installing baseboards, casing, interior doors, and related finish carpentry
• Ability to safely and effectively use power toolsincluding saws, drills, and nail guns
• Demolition and project clean-up
• Property board-up experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and DOT Certified (preferred)
• Commitment to following OSHA, company safety rules and regulations,OSHA 10/30 Certified (preferred)
• Strong verbal and basic digital communication skills
• Problem-solving ability
• Customer service mindset
• Thrive in fast-paced and challenging environments
• 2+ years of plumbing experience (licensed preferred)
