Wage: $52,000.00-$72,800.00/year

Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday, Potential for OT on Fridays

Responsibilities
- Study specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions and visualize products to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts
- Calculate dimensions, plans layout, and determine assembly method and sequence of operations
- Measure, mark, and scribe metal stock for machining; verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances using a variety of measuring devices and gauges
- Set up and operate CNC mill to machines parts and verify conformance of machined parts to specifications
- Fit and assemble parts together and into assemblies and mechanisms
- Examine standard or previously used dies, tools, jigs and fixtures, and recommend design modifications regarding construction and function of part
- Develop specifications from general descriptions for specialty tools and draw or sketch design of product
- Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance
- Other duties as required
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent from accredited college or technical school is preferred; or 4-6 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret repair manuals, blueprints, schematics, shop drawings, engineering notes, drawings, procedural manuals, and other mechanical reports; present information effectively and respond to questions from groups of managers, supervisors, employees, and others
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as decimal equivalents, inference, and the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry; apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; interpret written, oral, diagrammed, or schedule-form instructions
- Ability to talk, hear, see, and use hands/fingers to handle or feel
- Ability to regularly walk or stand for long periods of time for up to 10 hours a day
- Ability to regularly bend, stoop, climb, crawl, or kneel
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects; if greater than 50 pounds, will require assistance or the use of lifting equipment
- Machine shops and manufacturing facilities with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles
- The noise level is moderate and occasionally high
- Work with machine shop equipment, forklifts, and occasionally near punch presses
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment is required when in the plant
