Job summary

Wimmer Communities is seeking a Construction Laborer with fine carpentry skills to join our team for ongoing multi-family projects around the Milwaukee area. You will help turn great design into great living spaces, with responsibilities spanning site cleanliness, safety, and coordination of field activities.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of carpentry/construction experience, finish carpentry is a plus, and you must be able to operate power and hand tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years Carpentry / Construction experience.
• Finish Carpentry skills preferred.
• Good working knowledge of residential construction.
• Solid working knowledge of industry standards and uniform dwelling codes.
• Ability to operate power and hand tools.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control of the site as to cleanliness, safety, and required staging areas.
• Assist with general finish carpentry tasks
• Quality control in all phases of construction, including Completion of punch lists by due dates
• Acts on directions of Superintendent and V.P. of Construction.
• Act as a hands-on Carpentry / Construction assistant
• Assist in coordinating field activity.
