Job summary

Rockford is seeking a Trades Carpenter II to support Grand Rapids construction projects with rough and finish carpentry, framing, door and hardware installation, cabinetry, drywall repairs, acoustical ceilings, and other interior finishes.

Candidates must read blueprints, demonstrate safety and quality craftsmanship, maintain tools, and work well independently or with teams, while adhering to MIOSHA/OSHA standards and Rockford's safety program.

Qualifications

• Experience in rough and finish carpentry with basic maintenance knowledge.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints as it relates to responsibilities.
• Must possess a valid Michigan Driver's license.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Rough carpentry including framing walls and bulkheads.
• Finish carpentry including base, jambs, casing, door and window installations.

• Door hardware installation and related fixtures.
• Familiarity with MIOSHA and OSHA requirements; follow Rockford safety programs.
