Rockford is seeking an experienced Trades Foreman to lead our carpentry team on projects across Michigan. You will supervise field crews, schedule subcontractors, read blueprints, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time completion.

Qualifications

• Min 5 years of carpentry or similar role.
• Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Project.
• Read blueprints and understand building codes.
• Valid Michigan Driver’s license.
• Experience reading contract documents and scheduling.
• Safety-focused and capable of leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead carpentry team and trade contractors on projects.
• Schedule subcontractors and team members to meet deadlines.
• Maintain and update project schedule; track progress.
• Read blueprints; ensure work meets codes.
• Monitor safety and enforce PPE on site.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, and tools as needed.
• Communicate project status to leadership.
• Support change orders and documentation.
• Possess readiness to act as Trades Carpenter when needed.
• Attend site visits and liaise with clients.
