Job summary

McCownGordon Construction, LLC is seeking a skilled carpenter to join our field crew on construction projects in Manhattan, KS. The role involves building stairs, partitions, cabinets, molding, and window/door installations, using a range of hand, pneumatic, and power tools, and small machinery.

You will also erect scaffolding, read blueprints, and maintain safety standards on site. Ideal candidates have experience in rough and finish carpentry, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work

Qualifications

Experience in rough and finish carpentry.
Ability to read contract documents and blueprints/plans.
Basic math for measuring and cuts.
Ability to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Maintains all safety standards.
Builds stairs and installs partitions.
Installs window frames, doors, doorframes, weather stripping, and basic hardware.
Installs cabinets and molding.
Erects and works on scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
Operates hand and power tools and small machinery.
Works with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass or drywall.
Joins materials with nails, screws, staples, adhesives.
Identifies, reports or corrects potential hazards to maintain a safe work area.
Loads and unloads materials up to 50 pounds.
Other duties as assigned.
