Job summary

Roers in Dickinson, ND is seeking qualified Carpenters for current and future projects. You will measure, cut, assemble, install and finish wood structures with a commitment to safety and quality. The role involves building cabinets, frames, floors, windows, and trim, plus some demolition and form work.

Any concrete, plumbing or welding tasks are incidental. On-site work with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year construction or carpentry program preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of carpentry experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow Roers’ core values when working with team members and customers.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers and pencils.
• Shape or cut materials with hand tools, machines, or power saws.
• Study blueprints or plans to determine dimensions and materials.
• Assemble and fasten materials to build frameworks or props.
• Build or repair cabinets, doors, frames, floors, and other wooden fixtures.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders as needed for elevated work.
• Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, trim, or hardware.
• Finish surfaces of woodwork and paneling.
• Inspect surfaces for damage and replace as needed.
• Work with hazardous materials safely.
• Assist with building demolition and concrete forms.

Education
