Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction, a leading national contractor, seeks an experienced Carpenter in Minnesota. The role builds, fabricates, erects and repairs structures, covering rough and finish carpentry, blocking, formwork, and door frames to meet enclosure needs.

Work uses wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials, with some regions including concrete work. Safety is core to AP's Incident and Injury Free culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and move materials up to 100 pounds daily.
• Travel to project sites up to 70+ miles.

Responsibilities

• Read building plans and sketches for materials and dimensions.
• Determine layout and placement of materials as per specs and schedules.
• Accurately measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
• Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
• Instruct and direct laborers and other construction helpers.
• Place and finish concrete when required.
• Ensure workmanship meets AP quality standards.
