Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction in Minnesota seeks an experienced Carpenter to build, install and repair structures and fixtures for building enclosures. You will handle rough and finish carpentry, interior/exterior blocking, basic concrete formwork, and door frames while maintaining AP’s safety culture.

The role requires reading plans, measuring precisely, and constructing frameworks with attention to quality.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and move materials up to 100 pounds.
Read blueprints and construction documents with accuracy.
Willingness to travel to project sites up to 70+ miles.

Responsibilities

Take personal responsibility for working safely in an Incident and Injury Free culture.
Read building plans and sketches for material type and dimensions.
Determine layout and placement using levels, rules, and surveying tools.
Accurately measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials.
Construct building frameworks including walls, floors and doorframes.
Inspect work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards.
Instruct and direct laborers and other workers as needed.
Complete basic concrete formwork where applicable.
Place and finish concrete and ensure high-quality workmanship.
