Job summary

Cornerstone Caregiving in Carmel Valley is seeking a compassionate caregiver for evening shifts to support a client in their home. The role involves safe transfers, personal care, meal preparation (vegetarian meals as directed), and light housekeeping.

The care plan emphasizes respect and dignity, with training and ongoing support from the office team. The position offers a positive, family-like environment, paid training, and benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• CNA/HHA certification is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to obtain Registration as a Home Care Aide.
• Health screening: Negative TB test, dated within 90 days or within 7 days of hire.
• A compassionate, reliable attitude and a positive mindset are essential.

Responsibilities

• Safe Transfers: Assisting the client to and from their wheelchair.
• Personal Care: Providing shower and bathroom assistance with care and respect.
• Meal Preparation: Preparing vegetarian meals as directed by the client.
• Light Housekeeping: Keeping the home tidy and handling laundry.

Job description

Are you a compassionate and skilled caregiver looking to make a meaningful difference in someone's life? Cornerstone Caregiving is seeking a dedicated professional to provide high-quality, personalized care for a client in the Carmel Valley area.

Schedule:

• Monday - Thursday 3:30pm-6:30pm
• Occasional Sundays 3:30pm-6:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Safe Transfers: Assisting the client to and from their wheelchair.
• Personal Care: Providing shower and bathroom assistance with care and respect.
• Meal Preparation: Preparing delicious vegetarian meals (the client follows a vegetarian diet). Client will instruct how to prepare her meals.
• Light Housekeeping: Keeping things tidy and handling the client's laundry.

Requirements:

• CNA/HHA: Preferred, but not required.
• Registered Home Care Aide: Must be an affiliated HCA or willing to obtain registration upon hire.
• Health Screening: Valid Negative TB Test (dated within 90 days or obtained within 7 days of hire).
• A Great Attitude: A compassionate, reliable heart and a positive mindset are a must!
