Job summary

Senior Helpers of Portland/Vancouver is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers to assist older adults with daily living activities in their homes across Vancouver and surrounding areas. This part-time role welcomes CNA candidates and values reliability and empathy.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility support, light housekeeping, and companionship, with driving required to client locations. Competitive pay, flexible schedules, and paid training are offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of dementia care or professional caregiving experience
• CNA preferred but not required
• Background check and drug screening required
• Smartphone and internet access for mobile scheduling and clock-in/out
• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle (willing to drive to Castle Rock / Longview)
• Comfortable working in homes where clients may be smokers

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): ambulation, toileting, dressing
• Provide personal care support: showers, bathing, bedpans, commodes, incontinence care
• Help with transfers (Hoyer lift, gait belt)
• Perform light housekeeping: laundry, dishes, dusting, organizing, trash removal
• Provide companionship and conversation
• Drive clients to appointments, errands, and community outings (when needed)
