Job summary

Adams-Construction-Company is seeking a Roller Operator to smooth and compact asphalt using tandem or three-wheel rollers. The role may involve rubber-tired rollers for bases and surfaces as needed, ensuring consistent, high-quality finishes on road projects.

Responsibilities include machine operation, routine maintenance, and working through varying weather. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication and reliability, with willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends as project

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively to team members.
• Documented knowledge of roller patterns and DOT requirements for specified mix designs, smoothness and proper sealing of surfaces.
• Must have reliable transportation and acceptable driver’s license/driving record.
• Candidates must be able to work overtime, nights, and weekends, as projects demand.
• Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test as well as random tests if selected during employment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for properly operating an asphalt rolling machine.
• Start and operate machine, manipulating levers to guide attachments for a smooth, level asphalt surface.
• Operate and maneuver roller to assess compaction of materials on roadway or jobsite.
• Perform general maintenance on the machine, including oil checks, greasing, servicing, and adjustments.
• Work under varying weather conditions and temperatures.
