Job summary

Global Medical Response (GMR) is seeking a Vehicle Service Technician to ensure ambulances are serviced, safe, and ready for response. This full-time role supports timely transportation services and patient care, including inventory management and vehicle maintenance.

The VST will work with fleet and operations teams to maintain readiness, follow safety procedures, and uphold GMR's standards in a mission-driven emergency medical environment.

Qualifications

• State Driver's License required.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Driving record in compliance with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure ambulances are fully stocked and safely maintained for transport.
• Maintain a safe and clean vehicle environment for crew and patients.
• Manage daily vehicle inventory checks and update equipment tracking logs.
• Perform regular mechanical checks (oil, washer fluid, batteries) and report issues to Fleet Manager.
• Document information clearly and adhere to company policies and information security standards.
• Coordinate with departments, crews, and other technicians to facilitate operations.

Global Medical Response (GMR) is proud to be an authorized provider of the DoW SkillBridge program, offering Service Members the opportunity to gain valuable civilian work experience in the medical response industry through training and internships.

Under the SkillBridge program, GMR hosts active-duty U.S. Military members for skilled employment training during the final six months of their active-duty obligated service. The SkillBridge Program with GMR will run for up to 180-days.

Vehicle Service Technician FULL-TIME Opportunity

$20.00 per hour (Direct Hire Candidates)

The Vehicle Service Technician (VST) responsible for ensuring our ambulances are effectively serviced, safe and ready for response. This is a key role to help our team maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Service Technicians will ensure the ambulances are fully stocked, safely maintenance and ready to provide transportation services.

• Take pride in maintaining a safe and clean vehicle environment for the crew and the patients.

• Manage daily vehicle inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log and place replacement requests when necessary.

• Run regular mechanical checks including oil, washer fluid and batteries, and report any vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager as needed.

• Clearly document information as required and adhere to company policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.

• Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments crews and other vehicle service techs.

• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow VSTs and operations team.

MinimumRequired Qualifications:

• State Driver’s License

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

• Driving record in compliance with company policy

Schedule:

• 0400-1600
• 1800-0600

Preferred Qualifications:

• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
