Job summary

0090 CORP-Corporate Office is looking for a Principal Electronics Engineer or Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer in Oklahoma City. This role entails supporting the Air Dominance Division, conducting research and integrating electronic systems, and mentoring engineers on a full-time onsite basis.

Job description

Principal Electronics Engineer (Level 3) / Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer (Level 4)

Location: Oklahoma City, OK. The position supports the Air Dominance Division (ADD) and is part of the SkillBridge program for service members transitioning to civilian careers. The schedule follows a 9/80 work week. No hybrid or remote work is available. Relocation assistance may be available. Travel is required for up to 10% of the time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research, design, develop, integrate and test electronic equipment including power generation, communications, flight controls, networks, radar, navigation, weapons systems, and related components.
  • Maintain complex circuitry components; analog and digital computers, LRU/SRUs.
  • Serve as responsible engineer for supplier technical interface and as focal avionics representative for integration support.
  • Report technical status, challenges, impacts and mitigations to chief engineers, EI&E directors and program management.
  • Oversee and mentor lower‑level engineers to achieve technical performance objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to development, sustainment, hardware design and qualification activities; support cross‑functional teams through integration and verification/validation.
  • Provide technical status and assessment to program leadership and customers.
  • Support assessment of cost and schedule impacts of technical decisions.
  • Coordinate with engineering and program management to ensure execution of the program statement of work and technical program requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Review Board regarding upcoming and current change packages.
  • Support technical interchange meetings and program reviews and assist in resolution of technical program engineering challenges.
  • Coordinate across programs and functions for common efficiencies and operational gains.
  • Comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.
  • Work onsite with the host company, 40 hours per week, providing training and experience in an entry‑to‑mid‑level career path.
Qualifications
  • Principal Electronics Engineer (Level 3) – Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related experience; or Master’s degree and 3 years of experience; or PhD and 1 year.
  • Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer (Level 4) – Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related experience; or Master’s degree and 6 years; or PhD and 4 years.
  • Strong understanding of electronics systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with qualification and environmental testing required for flight equipment.
  • Familiarity with nuclear, EMI, reliability and logistics technical disciplines to lead coordination between general systems, avionics and specialty engineering groups.
  • Airborne platform integration requirements experience.
  • Must have active US Government Secret clearance (background investigation within past 6 years or enrolled in continuous evaluation).
  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance.
  • Preferred: Nuclear and radiation hardening requirements and testing.
  • Preferred: Experience with LabView or other data collection and electronic modeling tools.
  • Preferred: Existing Special Access Program clearance.
  • Preferred: Active DoD SECRET clearance, within 5 years of last investigation.
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of Earned Value and exposure to Cost Account Management principles.
  • Preferred: Experience in an Agile development environment.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Primary Level Salary Range: $93,300.00 – $139,900.00
  • Secondary Level Salary Range: $116,300.00 – $174,500.00
  • Possible overtime, shift differential and discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
  • Annual bonuses reward contributions and company results.
  • Long‑term incentives may be available for VP or Director positions.
