Job summary

Allied Universal Technology Services is seeking Installation Technicians to perform installations of electronic security systems for enterprise clients, including door access, CCTV, intrusion detection, and low-voltage wiring. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 5+ years in physical security, fire alarm or low-voltage fields; installing devices, programming, managing mid-to large-scale jobs.
• NICET certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, program and configure electronic security systems for enterprise clients (door access, CCTV, intrusion, low voltage, sensors, and related hardware).
• Troubleshoot new installations to ensure proper operation and code compliance.
• Supervise Installation Technician I on jobs as assigned by the Installation Manager.
• Drive to client sites with a company vehicle and verify system operation and contract requirements.
• Run electrical wiring including drilling, trenching, and aerial runs.
• Connect control panels, ensure wiring, and install security software.
• Complete miscellaneous tasks such as on-site clean-up.

Position Overview:

Allied Universal Technology Services is looking to hireInstallation Technicians. TheInstallation Technicianwill perform installations of electronic control systems, which may include door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low-voltage communication, and fire alarm systems, including cable management, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, and associated hardware. As anInstallation Technician, this person is expected to be a highly proactive and skilled individual and, at all times, maintain performance consistent with Allied Universal Technology Services' core values.

Requirements:

Must possess a valid driver's license with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm or low voltage communication industry, including installing field devices, programming systems, and running medium- to large-sized jobs, are required
  
• NICET certification is a plus
  

Experience with access control, video management, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems, or any of the following is preferred:

• Lenel/S2, Software House, AMAG, Brivo, Open Options
  
• Avigilon, Genetec, Exacqvision, Milestone, ONSSI, Axis, American Dynamics, and Eagle Eye
  
• DMP, Bosch, and Commend
  

Scope of Work:

• Install, program and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients (door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, et cetera)
  
• Troubleshoot new security installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and satisfy codes
  
• Supervise Installation Technician I’s on a job as assigned by the Installation Manager
  
• Drive to client sites with a company issued vehicle, to perform the system installation and confirm the system is operating effectively and meets contract requirements
  
• Run electrical wiring; related activities include drilling, trenching, and aerial runs.
  
• Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment, and security software installation.
  
• Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned, such as job-site clean-up
  

Qualifications:

• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast based environment with minimum direction
  
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal & external customers
  
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
  
• Ability to be on-call on a rotational basis
  
• Must be detail-oriented and organized
  
• Ability to complete time entry from home on a daily basis via the Internet
  
• Ability to deliver product familiarization training to end-users
