Job summary

Defense Unicorns seeks a Technical Product Marketing Manager to drive market understanding and adoption of UDS and related features. You will own go‑to‑market programs, craft positioning and messaging, and develop technical content, demos, and use‑case narratives for defense audiences.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Growth, and Sales to launch features, translate complex tech into customer value, and scale adoption across federal markets from a remote USA base.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in technical product marketing or a related function.
  • Experience executing go‑to‑market programs for technical products, platforms, or capabilities.
  • Experience supporting or owning product or feature launches.
  • Experience developing product positioning, messaging, technical content, or sales enablement materials.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development and DevSecOps concepts.
  • Ability to quickly learn complex technical products and communicate their value to technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong technical and creative writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, or Growth teams.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to operate effectively amid ambiguity while seeking context and alignment when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Create solution briefs, white papers, technical blogs, and web content.
  • Develop presentations, launch materials, videos, demos, and use‑case narratives.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to develop repeatable technical demonstrations.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis.
  • Translate market intelligence into positioning, messaging, and go‑to‑market recommendations.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative insights to improve marketing execution.
  • Serve as a product evangelist for Defense Unicorns products and philosophies.
  • Communicate the value of Defense Unicorns capabilities within the defense industry.

Job description

Role Overview:
As a Technical Product Marketing Manager at Defense Unicorns, you will help drive the growth, adoption, and market understanding of UDS and related product features. You will report to the Head of Product Marketing and work closely with Product, Engineering, Growth, and other cross‑functional teams to bring product capabilities to market and help customers understand how UDS solves critical software delivery and platform challenges.
This is an execution‑focused role with meaningful ownership across product marketing programs. You will contribute to positioning and messaging, develop technical content and demonstrations, support Growth teams, execute feature launches, and help improve how UDS is packaged, adopted, and communicated. You will build deep product expertise and translate complex technical capabilities into clear, differentiated customer value for defense and national security audiences.
Responsibilities:

Travel Expectation: Approximately 35%-45% travel may be required to engage with customers, communities, partners, and industry stakeholders.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in technical product marketing, product management, solutions engineering, developer relations, or a related function
  • Experience executing go‑to‑market programs for technical products, platforms, or capabilities
  • Experience supporting or owning product or feature launches
  • Experience developing product positioning, messaging, technical content, or sales enablement materials
  • Strong understanding of modern software development and DevSecOps concepts
  • Ability to quickly learn complex technical products and communicate their value to technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Strong technical and creative writing skills

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience. Compensation ranges are established using national benchmarking data and apply across all geographic locations within the United States.
