Duration:

2-6 months (DoD SkillBridge Program)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Field observation and documentation of construction activities as directed by the Construction Project Manager or Construction Technical Manager in accordance with the contract requirements and documentation of same per applicable standards.
  • Inform Construction Project Manager, Construction Manager or Construction Technical Manager on progress of work and pertinent issues by compiling written, oral and/or a diagram presentation.
  • Contribute to schedules, track progress, keep contract conflict from escalating into a problem.
  • Comply with all applicable safety and environmental requirements.
  • Perform measurements and calculations to determine quantities of installed work items.
  • Comply with all project and company safety guidelines.
  • Effectively interact with contractors and their representatives while representing the contract owner.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Construction Project Manager, Construction Manager or Construction Technical Manager.
  • Working knowledge of applicable construction standards, regulations, and contract requirements necessary for completion of assigned tasks.
  • Working knowledge of construction instruments/tools.
  • Working knowledge of construction scheduling and measurement.
  • Goal-oriented and effective communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of appropriate software.
  • Working knowledge of appliable codes and standards.
Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain required certifications.
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license held for a minimum of one year and a safe motor vehicle record meeting company standards.
  • If under 21 years of age, a clean motor vehicle record without any moving violations or chargeable accidents.

This role offers significant upward mobility within Benesch, starting as an Inspector I and progressing through Inspector II, III, IV, Senior Inspector, and potentially to Construction Technical Manager.
