Job summary

Meridian Health Services in Randolph County, Indiana, is seeking a full-time, day-shift Skill Builder I to join our children's program. You’ll help patients and families develop essential life skills and coordinate care with therapists and medical staff.

As a Skill Builder, you’ll implement individualized treatment plans, deliver group and individual skills training, and participate in ongoing professional development while supporting integrated care and community resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with 2 years behavioral healthcare experience or similar coursework.
• Associate degree preferred for advancement in the role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with therapists to develop, implement, and revise treatment plans.
• Deliver individual and group skills training for adults and children, focusing on self-care, interpersonal skills, parenting, and coping.
• Provide case management aligned with treatment goals.
• Coordinate with medical providers to identify health-related needs.
• Complete CANS/ANSA reassessments and maintain clinical documentation.
• Serve as liaison between patients and external agencies or institutions.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

We are currently seeking a full-time, day-shift Skill Builder I to join our team in our children's program, located in Randolph County, Indiana.

About the Role:

As a Skill Builder, you’ll play a vital role in helping patients and families develop essential life skills that support developmental milestones and reduce psychosocial barriers. You’ll work closely with therapists and medical staff to coordinate care and implement individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with therapists to develop, implement, and revise treatment plans.
• Deliver individual and group skills training for adults and children, focusing on:
  • Self-care and daily life management
  • Interpersonal communication and parenting
  • Illness and anger management
  • Positive coping and problem-solving skills
• Provide case management services aligned with treatment goals.
• Support integrated care by coordinating with medical providers and identifying health-related needs.
• Complete CANS/ANSA reassessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Serve as a liaison between patients and external agencies or institutions.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking compassionate, motivated individuals who are passionate about whole-person care and thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment. Experience in behavioral health or social services is a plus.

• High school diploma or its equivalent with 2 years behavioral healthcare experience or equivalent college coursework toward a human services or health related degree required; Associate Degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license, a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance required.
