Job summary

Westerman, Inc. in Oklahoma is seeking an experienced Structural Welder to set up and operate welding equipment on skid assemblies. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and on-time production with minimal scrap and downtime.

Responsibilities include inspecting finished work, adjusting welding machines, and following procedures to meet specifications. The position is day shift, full-time, on-site at the Catoosa facility, with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must pass a closed root 3G MIG, flux core test on plate.
• Minimum 1 year welding experience on skids using MIG and Flux.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills and safety training.
• Must read and interpret blueprints, work orders, weld symbols.
• Capable of using related tools and following procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to quality.

Responsibilities

• Plans details of working procedure.
• Inspects finished product for conformance to all quality assurance procedures.
• Set up, troubleshoot, and adjust welding machines to maintain production and quality.
• Participates in improvement planning - modification of weld procedures to increase safety, efficiency, and quality.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains production averages at or above expected standards.
• Communicates effectively with all departments.
• Other duties as required and assigned.
