Job summary

SA Recycling LLC is looking for a hard-working and reliable Skid Steer Operator in East Point, Georgia. The ideal candidate will operate heavy machinery, adhere to strict safety and environmental standards, and perform routine vehicle maintenance.

The role involves moving materials between loading, processing, and storage areas while ensuring the utmost safety at all times. The candidate should have prior industrial truck operation experience and be able to pass necessary physical and drug screenings.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial truck operation experience.
• Compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, & SA Recycling safety, health standards.
• Must pass Physical, Drug screen, and Background check.

Job description

Skid Steer Operator

We are looking for a hard-working, reliable and safety minded individual to join our team as a Skid Steer Operator. Operates straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with front mounted hydraulically powered bucket or forks to lift & transport bulk materials to & from storage or processing areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers, or chutes, and to load trucks or railcars.

This position will work outside in varying weather conditions, and SA Recycling strictly adheres to all Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Safety is our number one priority. This Operator will use safe work habits at all times.
• Move controls to drive gasoline- or electric-powered trucks, cars, or tractors and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
• Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
• Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
• Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, cars, or lifting devices.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank.
• Weigh materials or products, and record weight and other production data on tags or labels.
• Signal workers to discharge, dump, or level materials.
• Hook tow trucks to trailer hitches and fasten attachments, such as graders, plows, rollers, and winch cables to tractors, using hitch pins.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial truck operation experience.

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must pass Physical.
• Must pass Drug screen.
• Must pass Background check.
