Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain skid steer equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Dig holes, move large objects around a construction site, assist with laying pavement, and plow snow.
  • Work in conjunction with all members on the crew.
  • Take direction from the superintendent/PM as to the order and manner that activities are to be accomplished.
  • Discuss alternatives to help increase safety and productivity.
  • Work with crew to meet the daily work schedule, goals and daily task.
  • Ensure all employees, subs, and site visitors are following safety guidelines.
  • Communicate with landowners and customers.
  • Maintain minimum stocking level of supplies, and tools for equipment repair and crew safety.
  • Attend and occasionally conduct Tailboards and Hazard Analysis for the crew.
  • Follow all company safety guidelines.
  • Wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the job duties.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be able to run and maintain a skid steer.
  • Must have CDL A License
  • Ability to work long hours in a high stress environment, including work outside of normal business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Degree or equivalent (preferred but not required)
Work Environment

This job may operate in remote locations, void of sanitary facilities, in extreme weather conditions both hot and cold and precipitation, during light of day, during the night and possibly in flooded areas.

Physical Demands
  • Required to sit for up to 4 hours, squat for up to 30 minutes, or stand for up to 8 hours.
  • Required to climb a ladder, stairs, or tree for up to 6’.
  • Required to carry up to 30 lbs while climbing ladder, stairs, or tree.
  • Required to be able to crawl under a 2’ crawl space.
  • Required to be able to lift up to 30 lbs with a single hand, up to 60 lbs with both hands, up to 75 lbs from the floor to the waist, and up to 40 lbs from the floor to above the shoulders.
