Job summary

Kelso Industries in Duncan, SC is seeking an experienced Mechanical Skid Millwright to support assembly, alignment, and mechanical completion of skid packages and piping systems in a fabrication shop.

You will read drawings, install and align components, work with fitters and welders, and ensure safety and quality. A hands-on background in skid fabrication or industrial maintenance is required.

Qualifications

• Previous millwright or mechanical assembly experience in fabrication or industrial maintenance.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Experience using levels, squares, tape measures, dial indicators, laser alignment tools.
• Knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, flanges, and pipe supports.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely in a shop.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
• Safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assemble skid packages per drawings and project requirements.
• Install and align pumps, motors, valves, and pipe spools.
• Read blueprints, P&IDs, isometrics, and equipment layouts.
• Perform layout, leveling, alignment, and fit-up of equipment.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and follow PPE rules.
• Collaborate with fitters, welders, QC and project teams.
• Identify and report material issues or safety concerns.
